    Cucumber Dip

    Cucumber dip.

    This creamy cucumber dip with dill and sour cream is the perfect pairing for dipping fresh veggies and crackers.

    If you love tzatziki sauce, you will love this dill cucumber dip packed with the same fresh flavor but with a creamier base, which is perfect for dipping. Best of all, this can quickly be prepared in five minutes with a handful of fresh ingredients!

    Ingredients & Substitutions

    • Sour cream - Plain Greek yogurt can be substituted to make a healthier dip.
    • Mayonnaise - Cream cheese can be substituted.
    • Cucumbers - English cucumbers are great to use, but you can also use other types of cucumbers.
    • Lemon juice
    • Fresh dill - You can add your favorite fresh herbs.
    • Black pepper

    How to make it

    Make this easy cucumber dip recipe by first peeling, seeding, and dicing your cucumbers. Place the diced cucumbers in a large bowl and add the mayo, lemon juice, dill, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.

    Tip: You can use a box grater, rather than dicing, and use shredded cucumber instead.

    Serve the dip with any of the following:

    • Cucumber slices
    • Gourmet crackers
    • Pretzels
    • Sliced peppers
    • Potato chips
    • Pita bread or pita chips

    Storing Leftovers

    Leftover cucumber dip should be kept in an airtight container and refrigerated for up to five days for the freshest flavor.

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup sour cream
    • 1 cup mayonnaise
    • 2 large cucumbers
    • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
    • 2 tablespoons fresh dill
    • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

    Instructions

    • Peel, seed, and dice the cucumbers, then place them in a large bowl, along with the remaining ingredients.
    • Mix well to combine, then serve with fresh vegetables, crackers, or chips.

    Notes

    This dip can be made in advance, as the flavors will continue to meld overnight.
    You can use grated cucumber rather than diced if you prefer.
