These spice rubbed grilled chicken breasts are generously seasoned with an exotic blend of spices that really come to life over the flames of a grill.
When the weather outside is frightful, and the fire is so delightful... you brave the cold and fire up that grill! For many, the fall and winter months means packing up the grills, but for the diehards, nothing is going to get in the way of a perfectly flame-kissed meal! Spiced rubbed grilled chicken breasts are great to enjoy any time of the year, however, there is something about the aroma of chicken breasts searing over charcoal that just warms the soul!
Chicken Breasts for Grilling
To make the best grilled chicken, you need to start with the best chicken breasts! Meijer carries Katie's Best chicken breasts which I always feel good about feeding my family. Katie's Best is all-natural, antibiotic-free chicken that is vegetarian fed and non-GMO. Plus, they are air-chilled for better flavor! Just look for the blue packaging. Otherwise, if you are looking for an organic option, keep your eyes open for green packaging because Katie's Best has you covered there as well.
Spiced Rubbed Grilled Chicken Breasts
The spice rub I use on these grilled chicken breasts has been a favorite concoction of mine for years. I honestly don't even remember what I originally crafted it for, but over time it just became one of my favorite all-purpose seasonings. In particular, the cinnamon provides a nice middle eastern accent to the rub.
Though the spice rub has an exotic flavor, the ingredients called for are quite common. You likely already have them in your pantry, if not, don't worry Meijer stocks them all.
What to Serve with Grilled Chicken Breasts
When you are preparing your grocery list for this meal, don't forget about fresh produce. Sweet potatoes in particular pair well with these spiced rubbed chicken breasts and I have even seen Meijer stock purple sweet potatoes (one of my personal favorites)! My brown sugar glazed carrots recipe would also pair nicely with this meal.
Meijer carries a wide assortment of fresh produce that is brought in daily. You can always find something there to fit your family's tastes!

I made this chicken rub tonight. I didn't use cayenne, I used a little Cajun spice and the chicken turned out very nice. Enjoyed by all and I'll use this spice rub again .Thank you.

Has anyone used this for shredded chicken? The type you'd make sandwiches out of?
Monica
This spiced chicken was outstanding! My son, who usually drenches everything in BBQ sauce, loved it without the use of condiments.. Would you recommend this rub on Tilapia? SO GOOD..
Fox Valley Foodie
