Who doesn’t like eating raw cookie dough and crack? OK, maybe not crack… too much sodium. But cookie dough! Man oh man, do I love eating me some raw cookie dough! If I’m being honest, I would rather eat raw cookie dough than actual cookies, and I bet I’m not alone. Though, the problem with eating raw cookie dough is that you are also eating raw eggs, so when my aunt shared an eggless cookie dough dip with me I was instantly hooked.
My aunt calls this cookie dough crack dip, and she’s right about that. It is downright addicting! Once I was able to hijack her recipe I whipped up a batch and brought it to work to test out on my ever eager former co-workers. After finding a pregnant banker huddled in a chair with the cookie dough dip hanging from a spoon and a “Don’t you dare judge me” look darting from her eyes, I knew this recipe was a winner.
Eggless Cookie Dough Dip
Cookie dough dip is perfectly paired with graham crackers, though attacking it straight-up with a spoon is also fine by me. And don’t worry about getting sick from raw eggs or flour since this dip is eggless and flourless, yet it still has all of the classic chocolate chip cookie dough flavors! However, if you can’t put down the spoon, I promise nothing.
Quite honestly, eggs are included in cookie dough recipes more for the baking process anyhow, so they are completely unessesary with you wish to create edible cookie dough.
How to Make Cookie Dough Dip
This Eggless Cookie Dough Crack Dip recipe uses all of the classic chocolate chip cookie dough ingredients you would expect, however, instead of using flour we blend 8 oz of cream cheese with the batter. The cream cheese softens the batter’s texture which makes it easier for dipping, it also adds a lot of creaminess too. I really don’t recommend attempting to make cookie dough dip without cream cheese, you will have a much harder time getting a good texture. Hey, I never said this was a Healthy Cookie Dough Dip recipe!
I like using a simple Hand Mixer (affiliate link) for this recipe. It makes beating the cream cheese nice and easy. I recommend starting it on low so the powdered sugar doesn’t fly all around your kitchen.
Eggless Cookie Dough Crack Dip
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1/3 cup Brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 8 oz Cream cheese
- 3/4 cup Powdered sugar
- 3/4 cup Mini chocolate chips
- Graham Crackers for dipping
- Melt butter and brown sugar in small sauce pan until sugar dissolves.
- Remove from heat, add vanilla, and let cool.
- Beat cream cheese and powdered sugar together in a bowl.
- Add cooled butter mixture with cream cheese mixture and stir in chocolate chips!
