This light and fluffy marshmallow fruit dip is infused with a touch of chocolate and vanilla. Perfect for dipping apples, strawberries, or your favorite fruit.
Is there anything better than the first bite into that first freshly picked apple of fall? Invigoratingly tart, juicy, with a quick crisp snap. Well, that was a trick question. Sorry. Everything is better with an inciting dip to pair with it, right?
Fresh picked fall seasonal fruit is in full-swing right now at your local Meijer Superstores, including a bounty of locally grown apples. Let’s take advantage of this incredible harvest by crafting an insanely delicious marshmallow fruit dip to serve with them!
TIP: Be on the look out for more than just locally grown apples. You can even find BLACK PUMPKINS at your local Meijer store which will make some wickedly delicious pumpkin pies!
Marshmallow Fruit Dip
Marshmallow Fruit Dip is a perfect pairing for your favorite fruit because it is light, creamy, and sweet – without being too sweet. My recipe contains a mixture of cream cheese, whipped topping, marshmallow fluff, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract. There is no cooking required, everything is simply mixed together. This dip can be made in advance and stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
Best Fruit for Dipping
I think apples are one of the best pairings for a fruit dip because their crisp texture provides a nice contract to the light and fluffy dip. However, strawberries, pineapple, and bananas are also great choices.
Marshmallow Fruit Dip Ingredients
The ingredients for this recipe are planned out specifically to make your shopping list easy. You will be able to find cream cheese, whipped topping, and marshmallow fluff packaged in the exact quantities needed for this recipe while shopping at Meijer. So don’t worry, even though the recipe quantities are in ounces, you don’t need to bust out a scale to measure weights.
How to Customize Marshmallow Fruit Dip
There are a lot of ways to customize this dip. Both the vanilla and cocoa powder quantities can be eliminated completely or increased as desired to fit your tastes. The current amount of cocoa powder gives the dip a subtle chocolate flavor, but this can be ramped up if you would like it more pronounced. You could even use chocolate syrup instead of powder.
Another way to customize your marshmallow fruit dip is with the cream cheese. Instead of using plain cream cheese, grab one of the flavored cream cheeses from Meijer, such as strawberry cream cheese. It will add a completely different twist to the dip, but still taste phenomenal.
