This easy breakfast pizza is piled high with all of your breakfast favorites and is customizable to fit any tastes!
Some people work for world peace, others search for cures to deadly illnesses, and I find ways to eat pizza for breakfast. Although, I bet if we put it up for a vote more people would rather have pizza than world peace anyhow. Sprinkle on some smoky bacon and breakfast sausage, and it is practically Nobel-worthy!
Ok, maybe I won't win a Nobel Peace Prize, but my family may vote this as their new favorite breakfast. That's good enough for me. Plus, I easily found all of the ingredients for this recipe at my local Meijer store, including some premium smoked meats from Kiolbassa which really sent the flavor off the charts! Be sure to head in store for even more savings on Kiolbassa Smoked Meats!
Easy Breakfast Pizza
Making a breakfast pizza is easy when using flatbread as a pre-made crust. The flatbread is light and airy and develops a nice crispness when baked. My other shortcut is to use melted butter as the pizza sauce. Sure, you can go all out and make a batch of sawmill gravy to use as the sauce instead, but butter adds a wonderful flavor of its own!
Breakfast Pizza Toppings
As with any pizza, my breakfast pizza toppings can be customized to fit your tastes. I prefer to load my pizzas with fresh onions and peppers and a generous helping of chopped bacon and breakfast sausage. I particularly love using Kiolbassa Dry Cured Bacon because it is thickly cut and has a deep smoky flavor which stands out nicely on the pizza.
Tip: Meijer also has a great selection of hot sauces, grab a bottle and fire up your pizza with a few dashes of your favorite heat source!
How to Make Breakfast Pizza
These breakfast pizzas are quick and easy to assemble. Melted butter is used for the sauce and can be generously painted on the flatbread rounds. Then load the flatbreads with an even layer of scrambled eggs, cheese, and toppings. The flatbread should be baked at 350 degrees directly on the oven rack. If you set it on a baking sheet the flatbread crust won't crisp much during baking.
