These flavorful BLT Wraps are loaded with crisp thick-cut bacon, fresh lettuce, basted tomatoes, and a mouthwatering sauce that makes this BLT completely out of this world!
Sure, a BLT is simple enough. It is just crispy bacon, lettuce, and tomato, right? Well, the secret to this easy lunch recipe is the tangy sauce that transforms an ordinary BLT Wrap into something crave-worthy!
Ingredients & Substitutions
- Low carb tortilla wrap - Low carb wraps have the best texture for these BLTs, but you can substitute a flour tortilla or wrap.
- Beefsteak tomatoes - You can substitute another vine-ripened or heirloom tomato. Locally grown, in-season tomatoes will always taste WAY better than typical grocery store tomatoes you buy the rest of the year because they have time to ripen on the vine and develop more flavor. Grocery store tomatoes and picked green for transportation and artificially ripened before proper flavor develops.
- Bacon - The best bacon to use for a BLT is thick-cut bacon, in my humble opinion. You want its crisp, meaty, presence to take center stage in each bite! However, regular bacon or even turkey bacon can be substituted.
- Shredded iceberg lettuce - Romaine lettuce leaves can be substituted.
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Red wine vinegar - Balsamic vinegar can be substituted.
- Salt and black pepper
- Mayonnaise
How to make it
Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Cut the fresh tomatoes into thick slices while the bacon cooks.
Tomato cutting tip: It is best to use a serrated blade to slice a tomato. The teeth on the blade will tear through the tomato skin more easily, ensuring you do not have to press down and squish the tomato with each slice. A bread knife actually works very well for this.
Place the tomatoes in a large dish and brush each side with a mixture of olive oil, red wine vinegar, salt, and black pepper.
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise and one tablespoon of the olive oil mixture, including any pooling tomato juices.
Assemble your BLT wraps by spreading the mayonnaise sauce onto the wrap and top with lettuce, three strips of bacon, and slices of tomato. Then roll the wrap shut and serve.

My husband and I thought this was very tasty. It also was very drippy with the mayo and tomatoes though 😊

This was really good! It’s so flavorful! We’ll definitely be making it again!

I added chicken to mine for a little more protein but this recipe is super easy and so good. I used a spinach herb wrap and the sauce sends it over the top!!

Super delicious

I made this last night and the family was wowed. The secret sauce is beyond good and I can't wait to make this dish again. It is a winner!

I would agree with others it could be a good base recipe to build on, but was a bit underwhelmed as is. I followed the recipe and found the extra amount of added fat (namely the oil, when I would normally just use mayo), wasn't worth the extra calories or prep time.

We liked this one! I needed a super quick, minimal mess (and preferably tasty) meal, and this was a perfect fit. Loved the quick marinade for the tomatoes that became the “secret sauce” I used vegan Mayo to avoid dairy and it was excellent. I also used microwave bacon (no mess) and added shredded rotisserie chicken for my meat eaters. This would also be yummy with hummus added for non-meat eaters. I liked this alternative to the typical cream cheese. Thanks!

Since I am a single senior, I cut the quantities down, and stuffed a pita for lunch. The remaining became a salad with supper. Oh, so good! Thank you

My family enjoyed these BLTs,
especially the secret sauce.
Will definitely make this again.
Also planning on using the secret sauce on regular BLTs.
Can’t imagine eating them any other way now.

This is probably the best BLT we have ever had. Every time we make these we always make the special sauce! Thanks for this recipe.. it’s a keeper!

Made this recipe exact. My family loved it. I have made BLT wraps before but marinating the tomatoes and adding marinade to Mayo enchanted the flavors. Will definitely make again.

I used this recipe as a base and built on it a bit. I added some thinly sliced onion, julienned pickle and shredded cheese. I wrapped it like a burrito and cooked it in a pan to add the crunch factor. It was amazing as a starter recipe!!! I'm thinking I could add a spicy element to the mayo which could change it up a little. Chipolte and lime would be good. Toss on some diced jalapenos even???

Was delicious. Our 12 year old daughter asked when we could make this again. Thanks for the great idea!

I would add an avocado to the list 🥑 that’s the only thing that was missing for me. Super good, yummy sauce!

This is so delicious and absolutely simple! It's perfect when you want a light cooking day during the hot summer. The sauce is so simple but so so delicious! This recipe is a keeper super fast, yummy, and easy! Thanks!!!

Oooooo! Avocado would’ve tasty! I too loved this but everything is better with avocado in my book 🙂

Love BLTs so much! I could eat them every day of the summer when I have tomatoes from the garden! I absolutely LOVE your secret sauce...it just makes it! I used a low carb tortilla for the wrap and took the sauce to the next level and added a shot of sriracha. You can’t get better than Duke’s mayo and with crispy applewood smoked bacon for a hint of sweetness...this combination is like heaven for your tastebuds!
Marianne
When you say “wraps”, do you mean something like rectangular Flatout bread or flour tortillas? Thanks.
Emily
Can you link the wraps you used for this? Thanks!

I believe it was Flatout brand (affiliate link)

Just discovered your blog and made this for lunch. It was delicious! Thank you!

Your recipe arrived just in time for lunch! Had no red wine vinegar, so I used balsamic. Had thick-sliced bacon in the 'fridge and some local ripe tomatoes on my counter. BINGO! Thanks for the great idea!
Fox Valley Foodie
Perfect! Balsamic is also my plan B! Great minds think alike. 🙂

Bobby Nelson's smoked bacon is highly recommended!

I'm back using this recipe for at least the 10th time. I still like to mod it slightly with add ons but the sauce is killer. Keep this as a back up for when you don't know what to make.
