Last weekend my family and I took a random road trip across the state. We had no particular activity in mind, and no real purpose for going, we just decided to have a family fun day mini adventure. In no time we found ourselves exploring the streets New Glarus, Wisconsin, which is quite possibly the most adorable small town in the Midwest.
Our fun filled activities included sunning ourselves on a hillside next to the church, trying to teach our toddler how to roll down the hillside, and incessantly herding her away from the road. Yes, we really know how to live it up. We did, however, manage to take a break from watching the grass grow in order to get the whole family Kemps ice cream!
As I stared at the flavor options available I commented to my wife, “Someone really needs to invent Cinnamon Roll Ice Cream!” Little did I realize at the time, Kemps is currently looking for OUR HELP to create a new ice cream flavor in their “Kemps Locally Crafted Sweepstakes”! Kemps will select the best flavors from this Sweepstakes and produce for purchase later this year.
Kemps began as a small family creamery in 1914 and is owned by family farmers. I love buying Kemp products because everytime Kemps is purchased money goes back to the family farmers to continue to care for their cattle. Living in Wisconsin, I know firsthand how important supporting family farms is!
The Kemps flavor suggestion I submitted includes a mixture of Cinnamon Ice Cream, Graham Crackers, and Chocolate Toffee. I call it Cinnagrahmee. What is your idea? Check out the widget below for the list of flavors and mix-ins available to concoct your creation, then start dreaming up flavor combinations! If your creative flavor is chosen in the Kemps Locally Crafted Sweepstakes you will win a year supply of Kemps ice cream!
Make sure you head over to your local Walmart to grab your favorite Kemps flavors and start experimenting. Perhaps your creation will be the next hit flavor!
While I wait for Kemps to create my new flavor suggestion, dreaming up these new concoctions has inspired me to experiment with additional flavor combinations in my own kitchen and make Cinnamon Roll Ice Cream come to life. Using Kemps Vanilla ice cream as a base I added a generous amount of cinnamon and brown sugar to create an ice cream that tastes surprisingly similar to a freshly baked cinnamon roll! If you really want to take it to the next level, top your bowl with icing to give it that final touch!
Whether experimenting in your own kitchen or entering to win Kemps Locally Crafted Sweepstakes, creating new ice cream flavors can be a lot of fun. Let your imagination run wild and let’s see what you create!
