  • Melt butter in a saucepan set over medium low heat, then whisk in flour. Continue to whisk the flour until it begins to turn golden brown.
  • Slowly whisk in splashes of chicken and beef broth, a little at a time, ensuring it fully incorporates into the flour mixture before more is added. Repeat until all the broth has been added.
  • Add the Worcestershire sauce to the gravy along with black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Bring the gravy to a gentle simmer and cook for a few minutes, until it has thickened. Then taste for salt and add more if needed.
  • Pour the hot gravy over fresh French fries, top with cheese curds, and serve immediately.

Notes

If the gravy is too thin, just simmer it longer. If it gets too thick, you can thin it out with a small amount of broth or water.
