Ingredients 

Filling:  Ground Beef Rutabaga Onion  Potatoes Parsley Black Pepper Garlic Powder Sage Butter Salt

Dough: Flour Salt Butter Water Egg

How to Make Dough

Mix flour and salt. Cut in butter until it resembles breadcrumbs. 

Add cold water mixing until dough forms. Refrigerate for 1 hour.

Assembling Pasties 

Mix veggies, herbs and seasonings in bowl. 

Crumble hamburger in separate bowl.

Cut dough into 6 pieces and roll flat.

Add equal amounts filling and hamburger to dough.

Fold dough shut and crimp edges to seal. 

Brush exterior with egg and sprinkle with salt. Bake for 1 hour.

  Tips & Tricks

Substitute lard or shortening for butter in dough.

Use store bought refrigerate pie dough.
