sourdough bread
2
strips
bacon

leaves
fresh basil
julienned

cheddar cheese

slice
provolone cheese

tablespoon
butter
Roasted Tomato

slices
tomato
1
teaspoon
olive oil
1
dash
salt
Instructions
Toss the tomato slices in oil, season with salt and desired seasonings and roast at 400 degrees until slightly charred.
Fry bacon in a pan while tomato is roasting.
Butter outside of the slices of bread. Layer provolone cheese, then basil, then cheddar cheese, then bacon, then tomato on the sandwich.
Grill in a skillet set over medium heat for 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the exterior has browned on each side.
Cut in half and serve.
Notes
Raw tomato slices work well on this sandwich, but I find roasting them in your oven intensifies the flavor nicely.
