Brown Sugar Sriracha Chicken - Sweet and Spicy

Ingredients

  • 3-4 skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • cup sriracha sauce
  • cup brown sugar
  • salt
  • 1 yellow onion, large chop
  • 1 green bell pepper large chop

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  • Sprinkle chicken lightly with salt and mix sriracha sauce and brown sugar in a separate dish.
  • (optional, but recommended step) Heat skillet on medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of oil. Place chicken in skillet and sear on both sides till golden brown.
  • Place chopped peppers and onions in baking dish and place chicken on top. Paint chicken with sriracha brown sugar mixture, drizzling any reminder over the vegetables.
  • Set baking dish in the oven and cook until chicken breasts reach 165 degrees, ~20 minutes. Cooking time will vary depending on meat thickness.
  • Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes and serve.
