My wife and I were fans of Brother's Three Pizza in the strip mall by HuHot, and so we were a little concerned when we found out that the owners were splitting with the franchise and starting 'zza Odyssey independently.
Saturday night I was hungry for pizza so we decided to check out 'zza Odyssey for ourselves. Actually, if I am being honest, every night I am hungry for pizza. Pizza is my favorite comfort food and I probably eat it way more than I should. Therefore I feel like I have fairly high standards for what constitutes a good pizza.
When we pulled up to the restaurant I was initially concerned that the place was closed. I didn't see any cars parked out front and the tinting(?) on the windows made the lights look dimmed inside the restaurant. However, I quickly realized I was mistaken and the place was just quiet at the moment.
So my wife and I went in and had a seat. With the exception of one couple at the newly added bar, we had the whole place to ourselves. It felt like such a shame too since the newly added dinning addition is beautiful and relaxing.
Being that we came here strictly to judge their pizza, that was the only thing I ordered when the waiter arrived. My wife and I ordered an 18" pepperoni to share. Yeah, just us. Stop judging me.
The exterior of the crust cracks, yielding a soft and chewy interior.
And you know what? We ate the whole thing! The pizza was excellent. We liked Brother's Three pizza, but this was even better. The crust in particular really had my wife and I excited. Brother's Three had a crust I liked which was chewy and slightly doughy at the same time, but 'zza Odyssey improved on the crust quite a bit. Their new crust is lighter, has a distinct crackle on the bottom when you bite into it, yet is still delectably chewy inside. It really is a fantastic pizza crust.
The remainder of the pizza perfectly worked in harmony as well. The sauce was robust and tasted of tomato, the cheese was perfectly gooey, and the pepperoni was generously laid out.
Is this my new favorite pizza in the Fox Valley? Hmm, I don't know if I can make that determination yet. But it has to be close if not #1.
Do yourself a favor and check out 'zza Odyssey. They are not just a takeout place, they have a newly added beautiful dinning area with a gorgeous bar and a great selection of beers. I'm rooting for this place to do well but I need you to spend your money there in order for that to happen!

I too was (am) a fan of Brothers Three and first experienced it in Marinette, WI. My son and I had the same trepidation when we saw the new pizza place. We liked the atmosphere, even though nearly empty. I wasn't quite as impressed with the pizza only because, I guess unique to the Brothers Three, tomatoes were no longer paper thin sliced on the pizza when I ordered tomatoes. The pizza was good, but, as always, I've had better.

Came to the blog for ideas for take-out for dinner and gave these guys a try. Great pizza! Might have to try a different appetizer next time, the "Boneless Wings" were chicken nuggets from a wholesale store served with a side-cup of the sauce you ordered to be their flavor.

Eek, glad I haven't tried the wings! Such a shame too because their pizza is fantastic!
