- 1 ½ pounds salmon fillet cut into 2" chunks
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Add olive oil to a large nonstick skillet set over medium high heat. Once the oil is shimmering add salmon chunks as well and cook for 10 minutes, or until cooked through, turning frequently to sear all sides.
Remove salmon from skillet and set aside.
Mix together soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, garlic, red pepper flakes, and lemon juice in a small bowl. Pour this mixture into the skillet and reduce the heat to a simmer.
Simmer the glaze for 3-5 minutes, or until it is starting to thicken. Return the salmon to the skillet and toss to coat with the glaze. Serve immediately.
Feel free to lightly dust your salmon with a pinch of salt and black pepper prior to searing.
Salmon is done cooking when the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees.
The salmon pieces can be garnished with green onion or sesame seeds.
