Deep Fried Turkey Wings

These flavorful deep fried turkey wings are soaked in a flavorful brine and fried until crisp and golden.

  • 4 turkey wings
  • oil for frying


  • 6 cups warm water
  • ½ cup kosher salt
  • 6 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 bay leaf


  • Mix together the brine ingredients in a large bowl until the salt and sugar has dissolved.
  • Pour brine into a large sealable plastic bag and add turkey wings. Set in the refrigerator for 4 hours.
  • Remove turkey and discard the brine. Pat the wings dry.
  • Add enough frying oil to submerge at least half of the wing in a large skillet, and heat it to 350 degrees.
  • Place the turkey wings in the hot oil and fry for 14 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.
  • Remove from oil and set on paper towels to drain, then serve.
