Crock Pot Sausage and Peppers
Crock Pot sausage and peppers feature Italian sausages simmered in marinara sauce with peppers and onions and piled high on a brat bun with Provolone cheese.

- 2 lbs Italian Sausages
- 24 oz Marinara Sauce
- 3 Bell Peppers (sliced)
- 1 Red Onion (sliced)
- 10 slices Provolone Cheese
- 10 Brat Buns
Pour marinara sauce into the bottom of a 6 quart slow cooker and add sausages, then peppers and onions.
Cook on low for 5 hours, or until sausages are cooked through.
Optional: For firmer peppers and onions, you can wait to add them in until the final hour of cooking.
Place sausages on buns and top with peppers, onions, sauce, and cheese.
Tip: Many hearty brat buns taste best lightly toasted. If you cannot find brat buns, hoagie rolls will also work.
Sauce from the crock pot can either be added to the bun or served separately to dip the sausage/bun into.
