Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 12 ounces crab meat
  • 1 cup shredded mild cheddar cheese
  • 4 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Louisiana-style hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • Crackers for serving

Instructions

  • In a large bowl combine the softened cream cheese, mayo, and sour cream.
  • Once the cream cheese mixture is well combined mix in the crab meat, shredded cheese, Cajun seasoning, hot sauce, horseradish, and garlic.
  • Taste for salt and adjust as needed.

Notes

Soften cream cheese in the microwave, or place the unopened package in hot water for 10 minutes. This will allow it to mix well.
Many store-bought Cajun seasoning blends contain lots of salt, so adding additional salt to this recipe may not be needed. However, if you want more control over the salt content, use my homemade seasoning blend instead.
To serve this as a hot Cajun crab dip, bake the finished dip in a 350 degree oven for 25 minutes, or until heated through. This can be served warm in a crock pot as well.
