Crockpot sauerkraut and sausage is a very easy family dinner loaded with kielbasa and sauerkraut sweetened with brown sugar.

Ingredients

  • 32 ounces sauerkraut with juice
  • 2 pounds kielbasa sliced
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon brown mustard

Instructions

  • Add sauerkraut, kielbasa sausage, chopped onion, brown sugar, and brown mustard to your crockpot and stir together.
  • Set your crockpot and high and let cook four hours. Alternatively, set it on the low setting and cook for six hours or more.

Notes

If you want to tone down the flavor of the sauerkraut the juice can be drained and replaced with water, beer, or apple juice.
