Garlic Herb Compound Steak Butter

This garlic herb compound garlic steak butter recipe is infused with fresh sage and roasted garlic which melts into a luxuriously flavorful condiment for any steak.

Ingredients

  • ½ stick butter (softened)
  • 2 cloves roasted garlic (can substitute fresh garlic instead)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh sage
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon fresh ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl with the back of a fork. Then place the butter mixture in an airtight container or wrap it in parchment paper to form a roll of compound butter.
  • The flavor is best if allowed to meld in the refrigerator for a few hours, but it can be used right away.
  • Place one tablespoon of the steak butter on top of the steaks and serve.

You can buy roasted garlic at the grocery store, or roast fresh garlic in a 375 degree oven for 40 minutes, or until softened.
