Equipment

Ingredients

  • 12 Hawaiian Sweet Rolls (one package)
  • 4 slices thick cut bacon (or more to taste)
  • 9 large eggs
  • cup milk
  • 3.4 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 slices mild cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon brown sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper then cook in a skillet over medium-low heat. Turn the eggs with a spatula as they cook to ensure everything cooks evenly, then remove them from the skillet and set aside.
  • Next, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. (can use breakfast sausage instead if you wish)
  • Whisk together the melted butter, maple syrup and brown sugar to make the glaze.
  • Slice the sweet rolls in half, and place the bottom half in a small baking dish. Add scrambled eggs evenly over the bottom bun then top with cheese and bacon.
  • Place the top buns over the fillings and paint the top of the buns with the glaze.
  • Cover baking dish with aluminum foil and place in the oven for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes. Serve immediately.
